Overview
Rapid innovation in digital technologies is hugely impacting learning and the skills required by educational professionals to use technology to enhance learning experiences.
This qualification will support you to reflect on your professional skills in leading, advancing, and sharing digital learning practice.
As well as improving your knowledge, you’ll build a portfolio demonstrating your digital learning experience.
The mix of taught units and professional practice credentials will allow you to finish your postgraduate qualification flexibly and 100% online.
Syllabus
The Deakin Masters degree consists of two programs, 10 Professional Practice credentials and two Research Papers. You can complete the degree in two to two and a half years or less depending on your individual circumstances but have up to five years if you need more time.
At the start of your degree we will help you to develop a plan for completing units and credentials that meets your particular needs.

In addition to the core units, you will complete ten professional practice credentials (including innovation, problem-solving, teamwork, self-management, global citizenship), plus a research capstone unit.

How do we transform the future practice of digital learning?
The demand for digital learning (and the experts who can deliver it) continues to grow rapidly.
In this course you’ll examine what online learning is, who needs it, who creates it and why.
From the perspective of ‘teaching as a design science’, you’ll explore the design theories and practices that are transforming the future of digital learning and digital literacy.
By working with a variety of e-learning experts, you’ll acquire a range of practical strategies to apply in your own work. You’ll also contribute your own knowledge to this emerging and exciting field of education.
This course would suit digital learning professionals, such as teachers, trainers and other educators - looking to broaden their knowledge of digital learning pedagogy. It may also be of interest to online learners.
