Course Description

Overview

There's a common misconception that artists have a monopoly on creativity...But the very act of making waves - no matter the career - is a creative one. The Chase Jarvis Live Show is an exploration of creativity, self-discovery, entrepreneurship, hard-earned lessons, and so much more. Chase sits down with the world's top creators, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders and unpacks actionable, valuable insights to help you live your dreams in career, hobby, and life.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

You likely know my guest today from his roles in films such as Dazed and Confused, Dallas Buyer’s Club, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Lincoln Lawyer, and so many great films. What you might not know about Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey over the last 35 years, he’s been journaling his life experience, the wild stories and situations he found himself in.

Recently he worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries and what he found was a tome of life lessons on successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that make us marvel or laugh out loud. The things that make us stress less, how to hurt less, how to find meaning in life, and how to be more ourselves.

In our conversation, we of course talk about his new best-selling book Greenlights, we get into:

  • Growing intuition into craft
  • Finding a space to discover yourself and sort through what really matters in life
  • The ‘just keep living’ philosophy of making life-affirming choices and being a little bit better every day
  • Plus many fun stories about working on sets, preparing for roles, and working with Jared Leto
