Overview
In this one-week course, we’ll focus on the 5 most crucial elements of a business case, including what is a business case and how it is used to make investment decisions. Whether you are a student or a professional, this course will give you the fundamentals you need, from defining the problem to gathering data and performing a financial analysis. To be successful in this course, you'll need high-school equivalent writing, reading, and math skills. Some spreadsheet familiarity will also be helpful.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
• develop a clear and compelling narrative for a business case
• identify the key elements of a business case
• perform basics of financial analysis, including the concepts of ROI and payback period
• demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment and management
• explain the importance of ethical considerations in developing a business case
