This course encompasses crucial aspects of Pile Grouping, Testing & Quality Control, particularly focusing on pile testing, quality control and addressing execution challenges across four informative modules. In Module one of the course, the learners will explore pile group settlement and its connection to soil properties. This course empowers learners in Module four to recognize the critical role of bill of quantities in pile foundations. Understand challenges during pile execution and discover effective remedies. Additionally, gain insights into using software for pile foundation analysis, specifically focusing on mastering PLAXIS 3D. Target Learners: Undergraduate students of Civil Engineering Post-Graduate Students of Geotechnical Engineering Practicing Engineers in Pile Construction based projects. Syllabus

  • Grouping and settlement of piles
    • Within this module, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of settlement in piles, focusing on its correlation with soil properties. Moreover, learners will develop proficiency in evaluating the capacity of pile groups and determine the anticipated settlement specific to distinct soil types.
  • Load tests on piles
    • This module equips learners with the knowledge of diverse pile testing methods and its corresponding outcomes. Participants will develop the skills necessary to conduct pile tests, validating theoretical designs through practical applications.
  • QA/QC & EHS of Pile foundation
    • In this module, learners will comprehend the significance of maintaining quality and safety standards in piling works. Learners will acquire the skills needed to ensure high-quality piling operations and execute them safely on-site.
  • BOQ, Construction Challenges and Modelling of piles
    • This module empowers learners to recognize the critical role of quantifying materials in pile foundations. It facilitates an understanding of challenges encountered during pile execution and provides remedies for resolution. Additionally, learners will gain insights into the utilization of software in pile foundation analysis, specifically focusing on the proficiency to use PLAXIS 3D.
