Overview
In this 1.5 hour guided project, you will learn how to use one of the most versatile Linux networking utilities tcpdump to capture and analyze TCP traffic. Popular among all ranks of networking and cybersecurity professionals, tcpdump will definitely empower you in daily networking operations.
In order to succeed in this project, learners should be already able to use Linux commands, pipes, and input/output redirection, able to write entry-level Linux shell scripts, and understand entry-level concepts of TCP (transmission control protocol).
