Overview
Learn how to ideate and brainstorm possible design solutions based on user research.
A large part of becoming a designer is honing your creativity. Designers often have processes and practices they use to aid them in coming up with ideas and solutions. In this course, you'll learn about methods for defining a problem to solve and ideating potential solutions to the problem.
### Take-Away Skills
You'll learn how to define a problem statement based on user research and brainstorm possible solutions. You will also iterate on ideas by sketching to receive qualitative user feedback on early design concepts. Lastly, you'll get an understanding of what UX case studies are and the importance of documenting your design process.

This course does not require any prerequisite knowledge, but it's recommended that you've taken the [Introduction to UI and UX Design](https://www.codecademy.com/learn/intro-to-ui-ux) course or have an introductory knowledge of UI and UX design.
It is also recommended that you've taken the [Learn User Research: Generative](https://www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-user-research-generative) course or have general knowledge about user research.
