Course Description

Overview

Cross-cultural study of all the major civilizations of the world since 1500. The unifying theme is understanding the causes of the rise of the West, the reaction of the non-Western world to the rise of the West, and the ongoing dynamics of the "West versus the Rest" dialectic.
