Overview
Placement Level: Eligibility for MATH-542 or higher-level math course as determined by the Chaffey College placement process. This is an introductory course focusing on choices of individual economic decision-makers. Topics include scarcity; individual and household decision making; business decision making; specialization and trade; market equilibrium; elasticity; production and cost theory; market structures; factor markets; effects of taxes on individuals and businesses; income distribution and poverty; economics of race, gender, and culture; and market failure.
