Course Description
Overview
Placement Level: Eligibility for ESL-475 as determined by the Chaffey College ESL placement process and/or guided self-placement. Advisory: Completion of ESL-652. Careful study and practice of critical thinking, reading, and expository writing techniques for non-native speakers of English. Uses primarily nonfiction texts to facilitate composition writing with the ultimate goal of writing an essay with sources. Prepares the student for English 1A and a variety of academic disciplines.
