Course Description
Overview
Corequisite: DENTAL-405, DENTAL-425, DENTAL-425L, DENTAL-435, DENTAL-435L, DENTAL-445, and DENTAL-445L. This lecture course provides instruction in four-handed dentistry techniques and prepares the student to assist a dentist at chairside. Content includes: identification and management of medical emergencies, principles and procedures of four handed dentistry, oral evacuation, charting, preparation of anesthetic syringe, rotary and hand instruments, tray setups, placement of dental dam, tofflemire matrix, health history and vital signs.
