Course Description
Overview
Prerequisite: CJ-1. Examination of the criminal prosecution process from pre-arrest through final disposition, and the associated court actions taken by the defense and prosecution. Roles and responsibilities of law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections, viewed as both independent and collectively operating segments within the criminal justice system. Review of past and current criminal justice procedures as they relate to social justice inequalities and individual Constitutional and procedural rights. (C-ID AJ 122) Transfer: CSU
