Overview
Advisory: Completion of CJ-51. This course covers an analysis of theories of crime and delinquency with a focus on sociological factors. Sociological factors such as culture, social class, gender, education level, poverty, systemic racism, and minority status will be explored. The course will review the progression of causation theories attributed to crime and delinquency in the criminal justice system. The origin of crime classification will be examined. Transfer: CSU
