Course Description
Overview
Careful study and practice of narrative, explanatory, argumentative, research and/or other kinds of writing and reading. Incorporates texts that celebrate diverse identities, communities, and experiences, and that engage with difference, with the ultimate goal of preparing students to succeed in college and careers, and to participate in broader societal discourse. A minimum of 5,000 written words is required over the term. Three hours for supplemental learning through a Success Center that supports this course are required. May be offered as an Honors course.
