Course Description
Overview
Prerequisite: PSYCH-1. Study of the biological basis of behavior. Topics include: basic neuroanatomy and neurophysiology; neurophysiological mechanisms in movement, sensation, perception, learning, memory, emotion, psychological disorders, language, and consciousness; scientific method as applied in the brain sciences; brain evolution; and the effects of discoveries in the neurosciences on modern views of human nature and theories of mind.
