Introduction to Crystal Chemistry
Offered By: Samara University via Canvas Network
Course Description
Overview
This course introduces learners to the fundamental principles of crystal chemistry, covering topics such as crystal structures, bonding in solids, and crystal defects. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand the relationship between crystal structure and properties, identify different types of crystal structures, and analyze crystal defects. The course teaches skills such as interpreting crystal structure diagrams, calculating coordination numbers, and predicting properties based on crystal structure. The teaching method includes video lectures, readings, quizzes, and hands-on exercises. This course is designed for students and professionals interested in gaining a foundational understanding of crystal chemistry.
