International and African Legal Framework on Freedom of Expression

This course covers the international and African legal frameworks on freedom of expression, including legitimate restrictions and the safety of journalists. Students will learn about the right of access to information in the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and new challenges related to freedom of expression on the internet. The course uses a combination of lectures, readings, and case studies to engage learners.
