Course Description
Overview
Examines probability techniques, hypothesis testing, and predictive techniques to facilitate behavioral science research. Topics include: descriptive statistics; probability and sampling distributions; statistical inference and power; correlation and linear regression; chi-square; t-tests; and analysis of variance. Applies both hand-computation and statistical software to data in a social science context, including interpretation of the statistical findings. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
