Course Description
Overview
Surveys the evolution of the moving image through the analysis of film, television, new media, and video art. Examines questions of form and content, aesthetics and meaning, history, and cultural diversity. Topics include modes of production, movements, narrative and non-narrative forms, visual design, editing, sound, genres, ideology, and critical analysis. May be offered in a distance-learning format. CAB GE C, CSU GE C1, IGETC 3A.
