Course Description
Overview
Teaches information literacy and critical thinking skills and strategies. Explores the social, psychological, and physiological aspects of living in an information-saturated society. Covers disinformation, algorithmic bias, the attention economy, digital polarization, fact-checking, and strategies for discovering, evaluating, and citing reliable and diverse sources of information. May be offered in a distance-learning format. CAB GE E (Beg. F'21).
