Course Description

Overview

Examines gender diversity and gender roles found in various cultures around the globe using an anthropological perspective. Uses cross cultural comparisons to study and evaluate how economics, history, kinship, religion, politics, language, and other aspects of society and culture reinforce conceptualizations and lived experiences of gender as well as how gender norms influence these institutions. This course meets the Cabrillo College multicultural studies. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Format. CAB GE D, CSU GE D, IGETC 4.
