Course Description
Overview
Explores methods of creating self-directed, non-traditional, and entrepreneurial pathways in the visual, applied, and performing arts. Skills taught include design thinking, innovation, project mapping, collaborative teamwork, defining an audience, marketing, and branding. Students engage in self-reflection and identify needs that call for arts-based solutions in order to develop, pitch, and present a creative project. Cross-listed as AH 79, ART 79, AP 79, DANCE79, DM 79, MUS 79, and TA 79. Students may enroll in one course for credit, but not more than one. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
