Course Description
Overview
Promotes standard college-level reading, writing, speaking, and listening focusing on critical thinking skills, textual analysis, expository essay writing, and research methods designed to prepare students for academic coursework across disciplines. This course is the equivalent of ENGL 1A. May be offered in a distance-learning format. Transfer to CSU; UC, with limits: ENGL 1A/1AH/1AMC/1AMCH and ESL 1A combined: maximum credit, 1 course. Not open to students who have completed ENGL 1A/1AH/1AMC/1AMCH. CAB GE A1, CSU GE A2, IGETC 1A. C-ID: ENGL 100.
