Overview
Develop HyFlex teaching strategies to create better online learning
Learning has evolved rapidly in recent years giving rise to the HyFlex approach; an innovative, disruptive, and necessary change in teaching and learning.
On this four week course from the University of Southern Queensland, you’ll explore key approaches to successful online learning and teaching, using current theories about HyFlex approaches to reconceptualise your teaching.
Explore the benefits of different learning modes for Hyflex learning
Throughout this course, you’ll look at current pedagogical thinking around blended, hybrid, and HyFlex approaches to learning, with a view to rethinking and improving online learning opportunities for your students.
You’ll also use your new knowledge in practical tasks to design online modules or units of work that include options for synchronous and asynchronous learning modes supporting different types of interactions.

The two lead educators on this course, Dr Julie Lindsay and Dr Lisa Jacka, are experts in the field of online learning and education.
With a wealth of experience and knowledge in building online flexible learning experiences, as well as advocating for new educational technologies, they are uniquely positioned to help you utilise HyFlex learning and improve your online teaching.
This course is designed for anyone involved in designing and teaching online learning at any level of education, specifically teachers, current educational designers, and education students.
To take part in this course, you will need a word processing program and any additional software you would like to use for the assessment.
